Second Round of Chemo in the Books

Veni, Vidi, Vici... well almost Vici. We came to Houston, We saw round 2 of Chemo, and we've almost conquered it. (what in the world am I talking about?!) WE JUST FINISHED THE LAST NIGHT OF CHEMO FOR THIS ROUND!

OH! And we've been so busy with moving, being at a new hospital, and everything else I forgot to update and tell everyone Reece is officially in remission!!!!! I know you're thinking, "WHAT?! So Reece doesn't have cancer anymore?!" Well, let's not get ahead of ourselves... what "remission" means in Leukemia is that after the first round of Chemo, the take another bone marrow biopsy to look and see if there is any Leukemia blast still lingering around. In AML it is common for there to still be a little bit of Leukemia after the first round, and usually all gone at the end of the second round. BUT OUR LITTLE SUPER HERO HAD ZERO, NOTHING, 000000.0000% LEUKEMIA CELLS IN HIS BLOOD, BONE MARROW, AND CHROMOSOMES.

With that being said, we still have to do all 4 rounds of Chemo in order to zap out any thing that might pop up. But let's just take a moment and celebrate that there is no Leukemia in our little mans body!!!

As for the second round, it's come and gone before I've been able to update at all. No worries thought because it's been really uneventful, so I'll sum it all up in pictures...
We usually start our day off with some SnapChat

We wished our cousin, Aven, a good first day of school... well, we tried

We did a little bit better of a job wishing our cousins, Zoe, Carter, and Sebby, a good first day of school

He developed a rash to one of the Chemos, nothing a little Hydrocortisone cream and IV can't fix.

We are in the PERFECT spot to look at planes, helicopters, and buses!

And did I mention we SnapChat :)
Now that the actual physical administration of Chemo is done, the scary part is next. If you remember, it wasn't until 9 days after his Chemo last round that we ended up in the ICU. With that being said, we are staying positive and optimistic that that won't happen this time. But please, pray that while his blood counts go lower and lower, he won't get any kind of infection through anyone coming in his room, the doctors and nurses dealing with his line, the food he consumes, and the overall cleanliness of his body and room. We are really praying and hoping that this round will have much smoother sailing than last time!

OH! One last thing, in case any one is wondering, our new hospital address is:
Texas Children's Hospital
West Tower
Room 924

Again, I will never be able to individually thank everyone for their continual support, prayers, thoughts, gifts, good vibes, shares, love, everything... seriously thank you so very much!!!!
